Alton Edward Stone, 67, of Crump, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on July 5, 2026.
Born on February 1, 1959, Alton was the son of the late Albert Stone and Myrtle Waldon Guthrie Stone. He had called the area home for the past 50 years and was well known for his quiet nature, kind heart, and memorable sense of humor.
Alton found joy in the simple things in life. He loved spending time fishing, camping, tinkering with old cars, and making others laugh with his practical jokes. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him endless happiness.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Amy Stone; his sons, Jeramy Stone (Sam) and Johnathon Stone (Amy); his sisters, Linda Weldon (Robert), Mavis Finley, and Gayle Stevens; his brother, Henry Stone (Dee); and his cherished grandchildren, Collyn, Kindle, Aubry, Jax, Olivia, Megan, John, and Hannah.
In addition to his parents, Alton was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Bennett; his brother, John Edward Stone; and his sisters, Alice Finley and Louise Stone.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Associated Family Funeral Home in Adamsville. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Alton will be remembered for his gentle spirit, quiet strength, playful sense of humor, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His memory will forever be treasured by all who knew and loved him.
