Annah DeBerry Obituary

Annah Kate DeBerry, age 22, of Shiloh, Tennessee, passed away on February 6, 2026, in Michie. She was born on April 15, 2003, to Karen Johnson and the late Robert DeBerry, and spent her life surrounded by the people and places she loved most.

A 2021 graduate of Adamsville High School, Annah was known for her big heart, quick smile, and the way she lit up every room she walked into. She loved TikTok, sunny days at water parks, trips to the beach, the peace of the mountains, and cheering on the Tennessee Vols. Her favorite colors were orange and pink, especially when it came to roses.

She was happiest when spending time with her cousin Gage, who was more like a brother, and loved being with her three dogs—Gabby the English bulldog, Barlee the Basset hound, and Callie the feist mix. Animals always had a special place in her heart.

Annah got engaged to the love of her life, Scotty Elgin, during Christmas 2025, and was excited about their future together. She attended Riverview Baptist Church in Savannah and was baptized in December of 2024.

She is survived by her mother, Karen Johnson (Dusty Howard) of Corinth, MS; grandparents Robert Larry DeBerry (Margie), Randy Johnson (Judy), and Debbie Johnson; great-grandmother Lorene Fowler; aunts Amanda DeBerry Taylor and Sherra Wadkins (Jerry); uncle Kevin Johnson (Chasity); and great-aunt Cindy Johnson. Her cousins—Shelbi Wadkins, Gage Wadkins, Knoxlee Johnson, Alyssa DeBerry, Lanie Taylor, and Elsie Cooksey and an abundance of friends.

Annah was preceded in death by her father, Robert DeBerry; Nana Glenda Sue DeBerry; and great-grandparents Clyde Folwer, Tulon and Christine Johnson, Mary Elizabeth DeBerry, and A.W. DeBerry.

She is also survived by her fiancé, Scotty Elgin, and her best friends, Abby Kurowski & Amani Atwood.
