Betty Jean Johnson Lacroix, 79, of Lexington, passed away on August 10, 2025. She was born in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, to the late Lawrence Worley and Noama Inman Worley. Betty was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness, resilience, and love for her family shaped the lives of all who knew her. She dedicated her life to caring for those she loved, and her warmth will be deeply missed.
Betty is survived by her children, Robert Johnson, Jr. (Janice), Lawrence Johnson (Teresa), Keith Johnson (Jennifer), and Jill Johnson (John Hayes); her grandchildren, Charles Johnson (Shasta), Chad Johnson, Chelsi Johnson, Christina Johnson, Robyn Johnson, Dylan Johnson, Jonathan Davenport (Samantha), Steve Farmer (Hoai), Brian Farmer, Bree Ortiz, Brian Ortiz (Desiree), Brandi Ortiz, and Aidan Hayes; and her great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Alex, and Skylar Davenport; Tiaree and Harlee Ortiz; and Brenon and Eugene Ortiz. She is also survived by her brothers Barry Worley (Tonya) and Dale Worley (Jamie), along with nieces and nephews Barry Worley Jr., Margaret Worley, Elizabeth Worley, and Heather.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Kelly Johnson; her sisters Linda Gillette and Roseanna Worley; and her parents, Lawrence and Noama Worley.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m.
