Harvie Bryce Finley, age 76, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2023, at his residence in Stantonville, Tennessee. He was surrounded by the love of his family. Harvie was born on August 2, 1947, in Leapwood, Tennessee, to the proud parents Joel Carl Finley and Virginia Weeks Finley.
A dedicated Army veteran, Harvie served his country with honor and courage, demonstrating unwavering commitment throughout his military service.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories in the hearts of those who survive him, including his beloved wife, Beverly Langham Finley, his daughters Amanda Christine Finley (Randy), Erin Ilene Hurd (Jason), and Lauren Elaine Riebolt (JR), as well as his son, Kevin Bryce Finley (Brittney). Harvie is also survived by his sisters, Joyce Mitchell (Robert), Marcia Carlson (Ron), Tarecia Shelton, and Rhonda Sisk (Ricky), and his brothers, Jeff Finley (Carolyn), Donald Finley (Sherry), and Dennis Finley (Sheryl). He was preceded in death by his loving mother and father.
Visitation for friends and family will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Associated Family Funeral Home in Adamsville, Tennessee.
The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Landmark United Pentecostal Church in Stantonville, Tennessee, commencing at 1:00 P.M. There will be a visitation period beginning at 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Harvie will be laid to rest at Mars Hill Cemetery, where he will receive Military Honors for his dedicated service to his country.
Mr. Finley was a faithful member of Pine Hill Assembly Church in Finger, Tennessee. In his leisure time, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for fishing, and fond memories remain of him playing horseshoes with his brothers and father during his younger years.
Harvie Bryce Finley will be remembered for his love, strength, and commitment to his family and his country. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him, and his memory will be cherished forever.
