Carolyn Elaine White, 73, of Savannah, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home on May 1, 2025. Born on March 10, 1952, to Gene and Earlene Phillips, Carolyn lived a life marked by warmth, creativity, and a deep love for her family.
Carolyn was a homemaker who took pride in creating a welcoming and loving environment in her home. She enjoyed attending services at Graham Methodist Church in Savannah and found comfort in the sense of community there. An avid lover of the outdoors, Carolyn could often be found tending to her large, colorful flowerbeds, a reflection of her appreciation for natural beauty. She also had a lifelong passion for crafting, sewing, and quilting. Whether she was making clothing or hand-stitched quilts, each item she created was filled with care and thoughtfulness.
Carolyn had a special place in her heart for children and delighted in spending time with the little ones in her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Tonya White and Alyon Elam; her sisters, Barbara Cameron and Teresia Dubois (Hank); her special great-niece, Remington Harrison; and a cherished family friend, Carson Finley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Larry White; her parents, Gene and Earlene Phillips; her grandchildren, Jamie White, Kastin Melson, and Kylie Harris; and her sisters, Diane Holcombe and Sheila Turnbow.
A service celebrating Carolyn’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Graham Methodist Church in Savannah, Tennessee. Friends are invited to visit beginning at 1:00 PM until the time of service. Burial will follow in Graham Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Legacy Hospice for their compassionate care and unwavering support during Carolyn’s final days. A special thank you goes to Teresa Lester, Rhonda Smith, and Seth Fields, whose kindness, dedication, and gentle presence brought comfort not only to Carolyn but also to those who loved her most.
