Charles Crumby Obituary

Charles Ray Crumby, 79, passed away on May 17, 2026, at Adamsville Health and Rehab. He was born on November 10, 1946, to the late Albert Matthew Crumby and Nola Jane Barnes Crumby.

Charles had lived in Adamsville for the past 40 years after moving from Morris Chapel. He enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved sitting and watching TV, especially the news, going “picking for worms,” and playing the lottery. He always had a set of lucky numbers he stuck with through the years. Charles was also known for being able to fix just about anything. From lawn mower tires to plumbing problems, if something was broken, he would find a way to get it working again. He loved tinkering and staying busy with his hands.

More than anything, Charles loved his wife, Brenda. He thought the world of her and took care of her from the very beginning of their marriage. He also dearly loved his Pomeranians, Rusty and Princess, who stayed close by his side for many years.

He is survived by his daughters, Angela Elliott (Brad), Kristie Reynolds (Todd), and Amy Morton; his sister, Betty Kennedy; grandchildren Matthew Chenault, Melanie Franks, Tyler Morton, and Emily Morton; great-grandchildren Asher Chenault, Aiden Chenault, Ethan Franks, and Tanner Morton; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Brenda Crumby; brothers James Crumby, Floyd Crumby, and Bobby Crumby; sister Marie Hollin; and great-grandsons Bentley Franks and Garret Franks.

Services will be held Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Associated Family Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11:30 AM and continue until service time. A private burial will follow at Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery.
