Obituary for Charles Junior Wilson

Charles Junior Wilson, age 75, passed away on September 12, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Born on October 7, 1949, to Arie Wilson and Madie Foust Wilson, Charles was a lifelong Tennessean who most recently resided in Whiteville, having previously lived in Middleton.

A man who found joy in simple pleasures, Charles was known for his love of fishing, spending time outdoors, and "piddling" with projects—always working on something with his hands and heart. His gentle spirit, quiet strength, and steady presence will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Charles is survived by his loving children: daughter Melissa Phillips (Jeremy) and son Charles Ray Wilson. He also leaves behind two dear sisters, Ella Crutcher and Lena Baker (Tommy); his cherished grandchildren: April Wilson, Tiffany Watkins, David Austin Nerren, Kallie Wilson, Chance Slate, Savannah Wilson, and Charles Michael Wilson; and his beloved great-grandchildren: Mia Wilson, Allison Wilson, Addie Russell, Avery Wilson, Easton Watkins, and Nevaeh Watkins.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margie Wilson; his daughter, Angie Gail Wilson; grandchildren Justin Nerren, Zack Wilson, and Cameron Wilson; and great-grandchildren Gannon Nerren and Garrett Nerren.

A graveside service to honor Charles’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Wyatt Cemetery on Cemetery Lane in Hornsby, Tennessee.
