Charlotte Annette Rucker
August 30, 1943 – September 7, 2025
Charlotte Annette Rucker, 82, of Adamsville, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2025, at Magnolia Hospital in Corinth, Mississippi.
Born on August 30, 1943, to Clarence Lee Provience and Mary Addie Inman Provience, Charlotte spent her entire life in Adamsville—a place she dearly loved and never wanted to leave.
Charlotte had a kind heart, a joyful spirit, and a love for the simple things in life. She was happiest in the kitchen cooking up something special, crocheting cozy gifts, or out camping and fishing with family. She loved to travel, explore antique shops, and dote on her two sweet poodles, Lucy and Peewee, who were like her children.
She leaves behind a loving family who will miss her deeply: her daughter Tomia Hudson (Ricky Churchwell), stepchildren Bobby Rucker and Owen Rucker, and her grandchildren Rod Ganus (Heather), Candie Hollins (Brent), Kriston Ganus, Madison Blakney, and Morgan Blakney. Charlotte was also blessed with great-grandchildren Karlee Ganus, Aiden Hollins, Hadleigh, Kash, JC, Mila, and Elliott—and a special great-grandchild, Eli Lambert, who held a very special place in her heart. She’s also survived by her nieces and nephews: Ronnie and Carol Glass, Carla Lacher, and Lanny Provience.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Larry Rucker, her brother Rod Provience, her sister Verela Glass, and her nephew David Provience.
A funeral service and celebration of Charlotte’s life will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Adamsville, with Bro. Phil Mitchell officiating. Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, September 10, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the church, and again on Thursday starting at 11:00 AM until the service begins. She will be laid to rest with burial at Adamsville City Cemetery.
