Cody Davis, age 26, of Stantonville, Tennessee, passed away on September 23, 2024, in Cookeville, Tennessee. He was born on January 16, 1998, in Corinth, Mississippi, to Frankie and Barbara Davis. Cody was an engineering student with a brilliant mind, scheduled to graduate in December 2024. His love for learning and his bright future were admired by everyone who knew him.
Full of life, Cody cherished the outdoors and found peace in nature. He was a devout Christian, dedicated to sharing the gospel, and was an active member of the Stantonville Church of Christ. Cody’s faith and love for God shaped his character and his passion for helping others.
He is survived by his parents, Frankie and Barbara Davis of Stantonville; the love of his life Codi Rivera, his siblings, Andrew Hardin, Laura Hardin Maness, and Benjamin Brown (Erin) and his grandmother, Mary Wheeler of Selmer, Tennessee. Cody is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles, including Bill Wheeler of Prosperity, South Carolina; Betty Wheeler (Tim) of Jackson, Tennessee; Bob Wheeler (Rhonda) of Selmer, Tennessee; Jimmy Davis of Corinth, Mississippi; Betty Choate (Donnie) of Corinth, Mississippi; Leon Davis of Somerville, Tennessee; Wayne Davis (Linda) of Burnsville, Mississippi; Barbara Leatherwood (Larry) of Pulaski, Tennessee; Joyce Stanberry (Jerry) of Acton, Tennessee; James Davis (Bobbie) of Adamsville, Tennessee; Brenda Yates (Won) of Harvest, Alabama; and Belinda Mohundro of Glen, Mississippi.
Cody was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Elmer Wheeler and Fillmore Davis, as well as his grandmother, Nora Davis.
A service celebrating Cody’s life will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Stantonville Church of Christ, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until the time of service, all at the church.
