Danny Lamar Edwards

Danny Lamar Edwards, a lifelong resident of Michie, Tennessee, passed away on August 21, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. Born on March 7, 1958, in Corinth, Mississippi, he was the beloved son of the late Hank Edwards and Maude McAfee Edwards.

Throughout his life, Danny was deeply connected to the land and his community. He found great joy in the simplicity and beauty of nature, dedicating much of his time to gardening, fishing, and woodworking. His skill in crafting wood projects was matched only by his love of riding his side-by-side through the countryside, where he felt most at peace.

Danny was a devoted family man, cherishing the moments he spent with his loved ones. He was a loving husband of 49 years to Sharon Jones Edwards, and a dedicated father to their three children: Bo Edwards (Mari Compton) of Michie, Cody Edwards (Nichole) of Michie, and Katlin Palmer (Cody) of Corinth, Mississippi. His grandchildren—Sarah Edwards, Emily Edwards, Austin Compton, Henry Edwards, Sam Edwards, Jaylynn Palmer, Millie Palmer, and Lucca Palmer—were his pride and joy, and he took great pleasure in watching them grow.

In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Edwards.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6PM Saturday, August 24, 2024, at the residence of his son Bo, located at 4948 Hamburg Road, Michie, Tennessee. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and to honor Danny’s life.

Danny will be remembered as a man of integrity, whose love for his family and passion for life left a lasting impression on all who knew him. His legacy will endure in the hearts of his family and the many lives he touched.
