Diane Smith, born on March 18, 1950, in Ludington, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2024, at the AHC Nursing Facility in Selmer, Tennessee. She was 74 years old. Diane was the beloved daughter of the late Bernard Meister and Vivian Lamach Meister.
A woman of many passions, Diane had a deep appreciation for the beauty of the world around her. She was an avid collector of Asian art, which adorned her home and reflected her love for the intricate and the beautiful. Her green thumb was evident in the vibrant flowers she grew, and she found great peace in birdwatching, often spending hours observing the colorful birds that visited her garden. Diane had a special affection for her yellow canaries, whose cheerful songs brought her endless delight.
Above all, Diane cherished her family. She treasured the moments spent with her loved ones, and her warmth and love were felt by all who knew her. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Kim Grissom, and her son-in-law, Chris. Diane’s legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Jessica Kiestler, Holly Rickman, Samantha Pickens, and Jesse Michael, as well as her eight great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and pride.
Diane’s memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to those she leaves behind. Her love for beauty, nature, and family will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
