Donald Evans Obituary

Donald Lynn Evans, 67, of Morris Chapel, Tennessee, passed away on February 28, 2025, at Hardin Medical Center Health and Rehab. He was born on March 11, 1957, in Savannah, Tennessee, to the late Roy Pete Evans and Mary Erwin Evans.
A hardworking and dedicated man, Donald spent his career as an ironworker, embodying strength, resilience, and craftsmanship. He made his home in the Morris Chapel area for over 51 years, where he built a life filled with adventure, love, and deep family connections.
Donald had a zest for life and a passion for the outdoors. He found joy in hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He loved searching for arrowheads and was drawn to anything that involved a bit of risk or excitement, including dirt bikes, four-wheelers, and horses. His greatest adventure, however, was following his beloved wife, Beverly, wherever life took them.
A man of faith and brotherhood, Donald was a proud member of Masonic Lodge #102, Corinth Scottish Rite, Pickwick Shrine, and Al Chymia Shrine Temple. He valued the bonds of fellowship and the principles of service these organizations stood for.
Donald is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Beverly Holloway Evans, whom he married on December 14, 1974. He leaves behind his son, Josh Evans (Christy); his cherished grandchildren, Mari Anne Evans Benson (Nathan), Alayna Evans, and Colsen Evans; and his great-grandchildren, Ainsley Cass and Ava Cass. He also leaves behind special nephews Clay Holloway of Morris Chapel and Quade Holloway of Enville, TN, as well as special nieces Heather Brown of Henderson, TN, and Holly Bowen of East Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his only brother Royce Evans and his beloved son, Scott Evans.
