Janice Annette Strickland

Janice Annette Strickland, age 65, passed away at her residence in Parsons.  She was born June 24, 1960 in Mississippi to Chester and Annie Arleen Gaddis Strickland.  Janice was a Catholic in faith.  She loved to shop, having her hair and nails fixed, putting on her makeup and don’t forget about talking.  She loved to talk. She was a guard at Civic Core Correctional Institution.  
She leaves behind 1 daughter, Kristie Brooks (Chad) and a brother Chester D Strickland. She also leaves 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
She was preceded by her parents and a son John Strickland. 

Services for Mrs Strickland will be at HIS Church in Selmer on Sat, Feb 21, 2026 at 2 pm. Visitation will begin at 1 pm at church.  Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery at Tishomingo.
