Jason Wayne Newman, 54, of Savannah, Tennessee, passed away on December 1, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Hospital. Born on July 11, 1970, Jason was the beloved son of Bill Newman and Minnie Grantham Newman.
A dedicated truck driver, Jason was best known on the road by his CB handle, “Snowman.” He especially loved driving a yellow Peterbilt, a truck that symbolized his hardworking spirit and passion for his profession. When he wasn’t on the road, Jason could often be found working on cars, another hobby that brought him great joy.
Jason is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Newman, who was his steadfast partner and best friend. He also leaves behind his cherished daughters, Destiney Baskins (Chris) and Janson Newman (Nicholas Coleman), as well as his treasured grandchildren: Brayden, Easton, Alexa Baskins, Landon Newman, and Abigail Stagner.
Jason was preceded in death by his brother, Lynn Allen, and his grandson, Gannon Nerren, who no doubt welcomed him with open arms.
Visitation will be held at Associated Family Funeral Home in Adamsville, Tennessee, on Friday , December 6, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Jason’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and dedication. His family and friends will forever remember his quick wit, his determination, and the miles he covered both on the road and in their hearts. "Snowman" has parked his rig for the last time, but his journey lives on in the memories of those who loved him.
