Jerry Whitehead Obituary

Jerry Wayne Whitehead, age 65, passed away at his home in Henderson, TN, on March 11, 2025. Born in Booneville, Mississippi to Quay Jourdan, he spent most of his growing up years in Corinth, MS. His childhood was like that of every child, enjoying biking around the neighborhood and spending time with his friends.
Jerry was a highly artistic and creative person who used his talents and skills with tile and flooring to create what could be considered works of art in his customers' homes. An avid fisherman and gun enthusiast, Jerry enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors but there was nothing more he loved to do than to spend time with his two boys: Hollis and Michael.

He dedicated over 10 years as an AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization) coach, sharing his love of soccer with his two boys and other young athletes. He also served as the Scoutmaster for Troop 25, mentoring and guiding scouts. He was never more proud than to see both of his sons achieve the rank of Eagle Scout.

He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Whitehead; his mother, Quay Hartraft of Pearl, Mississippi; his sons, Hollis Wayne Whitehead and his significant other, Katie “Lady K,” and Michael Aaron Whitehead.

He also leaves behind his brother, Frank Allen (Wendy), and his sister, Brenda Sullivan (Paul). Jerry was preceded in death by his siblings, Donna and Eddie.
