John Lester Rogers, age 84, passed away on April 14, 2026, in Selmer, Tennessee.
He was born on February 4, 1942, in Troy, Alabama, to John M. Rogers and Mozell Rogers.
John served in the United States Army as a Master Sergeant and later worked as a police officer for the City of Memphis.
He had a huge passion for music and played in a band in his younger years. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Rogers; his son, John Joseph Rogers; and his brothers, Clyde Rogers, Phillip Rogers, and Danny Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John M. Rogers and Mozell Rogers, and his brother, Bryon Rogers.
