Judy Nell Fox, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2024, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital at the age of 68.
Born on July 22, 1956, to James and Eva Lee Wolford, Judy spent her life bringing joy and kindness to those around her. She grew up in Tennessee and made Selmer her home, where she was a devoted member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church.
Judy’s passions reflected her vibrant and warm personality. She was an avid football fan, cheering wholeheartedly for the Tennessee Volunteers and the Tennessee Titans. A lover of life’s simple pleasures, she enjoyed reading, taking photographs, chatting with friends and loved ones on the phone, and creating cherished memories with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Judy also had a special love for her cats, whose companionship brought her great comfort and happiness.
She is survived by her sons, Chris Dancer (Rachel) and Barry Dancer (Veronica); her cherished grandchildren, Eva and Ashton Dancer, and Malcolm and Vincent Dancer; and her siblings, Jimmy Wolford, Timothy Wolford, and Patricia Warren. Judy also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will remember her for her wit, warmth, and unwavering love.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Dancer, and her sister, Anna Lee Wolford.
