Judy Darlene Harris Ormseth, age 86, of Stantonville, Tennessee passed away on December 15, 2025 at her home. She was born on November 24, 1939 in Inwood, Iowa to Arthur Harris and Ann Claussen Harris.
Judy was united in marriage to Marlin Ormseth on January 30, 1959. She and Marlin raised their children in Sioux Falls, SD. She spent much of her working life alongside her husband, owning and operating Northview Campers Bait and Tackle (Sioux Falls,SD) and later owning Grandma’s Gifts and Treasures (in Madison and Sioux Falls,SD), a place that fit her well as she loved visiting with people and had an eye for beautiful things.
Upon their retirement, Marlin and Judy moved to Bonneau, SC where she had a special fondness for raising Shih Tzu puppies, which brought her a great deal of joy. They later moved to Stantonville,TN.
Judy enjoyed taking pictures, using her tablet, getting on Facebook, and most of all visiting with her many friends and family. She never met a stranger and made true connections and friendships with everyone she encountered. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Blessed to have shared their lives with her include her loving husband, Marlin Ormseth; her daughters, Linda Lemcke (Joey Bell) and Kelli VanDerVliet (Dave); her son, Colin Ormseth (Pam Sutton); her grandchildren, Natalie Neuroth (Clay Lowder), Brittney Lemcke, Lexie Lemcke, Hailey Green, Nathan Larsen (Nicole), Harmony Pederson (Andy), Heather Cody (John), Kylie Ormseth, Karlie Williams, Kendal Shaker (Zach), and Colin Ormseth, Jr.; and 23 special great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Cindy Woolam (Robert) and her beloved Shih Tzu dogs, Rosco, Hazel, Zu-Zu, Tootsie, and Sally, who were a constant source of companionship and comfort.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Norma Edwards; and her grandson, Justin VanDerVliet.
A memorial service to celebrate Judy’s life will be held on January 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Associated Family Funeral Home.
