Lena Earl Stanfill
Lena Earl Stanfill, age 98, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, at Adamsville Healthcare in Adamsville.
Born on April 2, 1928, in Fort Myers, Florida, Lena was the daughter of the late Bernard Earl Miller and Eva Lena Hodges Miller. Throughout her long and meaningful life, Lena was known for her servant's heart, her unwavering faith, and her deep love for her family.
Lena found great joy in gardening and was happiest when she had her hands in the dirt, tending to flowers and plants. She possessed a remarkable talent as a seamstress and lovingly sewed countless outfits for her children through the years, even creating a wedding gown. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she was always doing for others whenever she could.
A devoted member of her church, Lena faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher and spent many hours helping care for and clean the church she loved. Her faith was evident in the way she lived her life and cared for those around her.
Above all else, Lena treasured her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless happiness.
She is survived by her children, Merle Stanfill (Wendy), Kaye McLeod (David), and Regina Filisky; her brother, David Lee Miller (Jama); her grandchildren, Bryan Stanford (Morgan), Amber Street (Phillip), Ian McLeod (Bethany), Richard Stanfill (Emily), Candace Stanfill, Lisa Booth (Jerry), and Joe Stanford (Stacey); and her great-grandchildren, Zoey Patterson, Tanner Booth, Cayson Stanford, and Grant Stanford.
In addition to her parents, Lena was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Edward Stanfill; her son-in-law, Willie Filisky; her sister, Juanita Miller Conway; her sister, Katherine Miller Maness; and her brother, George Miller.
Graveside services celebrating Lena's life will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery.
