Lorelei Marie Bowen, age 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family.
Lorelei was born on October 12, 1942, to the late Joachim LaValley and Ceilia Crotto. She devoted many years of her life to caring for others as a nurse, a role that reflected her strength, compassion, and dedication.
Lorelei enjoyed the simple things that brought her comfort and joy, including reading, crocheting, and spending precious time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also an avid fan of crime shows, especially NCIS and CSI. Those who knew and loved Lorelei will fondly remember her spirited personality and her familiar response whenever someone asked how she was feeling: “Mean as ever and twice as ugly.”
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Luella Tomlin and Tracy Hanft; her grandchildren, Joeseph, Brittany, Shaina, Matthew, Nathan, RJ, Garrett, and Corine; twelve great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Lorelei was preceded in death by her beloved son, Richard Bowen.
Lorelei will be deeply missed by her family and all who were blessed to know her.
