Lynn Harol Pearson, 88, of Selmer, Tennessee, passed away on December 23, 2025, at his home.
He was born May 15, 1937, to Eva Baker and Lanie Bell Pearson, but was raised by Joe and Mable Prather, who loved him as their own. When asked what he did for a living, Lynn would simply say he farmed pigs, soybeans, and corn.
On July 7, 1962, Lynn married Neoma Hensley Pearson. She was the love of his life, and they shared many years together until her passing on June 5, 2021. In 1987, Lynn proudly became “Paw,” a name he carried with love for the rest of his life.
Lynn was a simple man who found joy in everyday things. He loved an ice-cold Coca-Cola, sitting on the porch watching folks go by, and spending time fishing and hunting. He was most at peace right at home.
He leaves behind his grandchildren, Kelly Sanders, Emily Eaker-Jenkins (Taylor), and Gunner Clay Pearson; his great-grandchildren, Maelynn and Cason; and his brothers, Danny Monroe (Lavonne) of Selmer, Tennessee, Willie Hugh Monroe (Debbie) of Meadville, Mississippi, and John Monroe of Adamsville, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Neoma Pearson; his parents and those who raised him; his son, Tommy Joe Pearson; his grandchild, Jonathon Pearson; his brothers, Billy Joe Pearson and James Edward Monroe; and his sisters, Barbara Jean Teet, Arby Washburn, Almie Pearson, and Lucille McCormick.
Services celebrating Lynn’s life will be held Friday, December 26, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Indian Creek Cemetery in Chewalla, Tennessee.
