Mary Davis Clawson, age 64, passed away peacefully at her home on June 22, 2026. Born on August 1, 1961, in Savannah, Tennessee, Mary was the daughter of the late John L. Linville and Gaylia Jean Gray Linville.
Mary loved life and had a wonderful gift for laughter. She cherished her family and her dog, Roxie. Above all, Mary loved God and was devoted to His Word, often speaking about Scripture and sharing her faith with others. She loved the outdoors and had a passion for planting flowers. Her joyful spirit, warm heart, and unwavering faith touched the lives of all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 26 years, David Clawson; her daughter, Melissa Putnam (Joe) of Corinth; and her son, Ronald Davis (Sophia) of Adamsville. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Taylor Cross, Charity Keirns (Bear), Makensie King, Ronald Davis III, Baylee Ann Clayton(Trey), Brayden Davis, Abby Davis, Jasemine Abernathy, and Ryleigh Axley; and by her great-grandchildren, Rayne and Davis.
Mary is also survived by her brothers, Stanley Linville (Doris), David Linville (Jeni), and Jimmy Linville (Barbara); her sisters, Brenda White and Patsy Partain (Jerry); her nieces, Bridgit Chafin and Sammy Jo Shelby; her nephews, Bryan Linville, Brandon Linville, David Foster, Wesley Linville, Jonathan White, Jeremy Partain, and Timmy Partain; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Mary will be remembered for her joyful spirit, the love she shared with the people in her life, and her faith in God. Though she will be greatly missed, her family finds comfort in the memories they shared and in the legacy of love, laughter, and faith she leaves behind.
