Mickie Rickman Obituary

Mickie Allen Rickman, 58, of Savannah, Tennessee, passed away at his home on Saturday, August 16, 2025.

Born on August 4, 1967, Mickie was the son of the late Buddy Rickman and Helen Collins Rickman. He was a laid-back soul who found joy in the simple things. He loved to ride around, especially with his loyal Shi-Tzu, Mackie Rae, always by his side. Being outdoors was where he felt most at peace—whether he was walking, grilling out, or just taking in the day.

He had a soft spot for old shows like Gunsmoke and Mountain Men, and he never got tired of watching them. Mickie also had a real love for football season and anything to do with the band—especially when it came to supporting his daughter, Shasta. He was her biggest fan and never missed a game, always proud to be there cheering her on.

Mickie had a servant’s heart and showed that love daily through caring for others, especially in the time he spent helping with Nathan Martin, who held a special place in his life.

He is survived by his daughter, Shasta Rickman, and the mother of his daughter, Jana Parrish. He also leaves behind his brothers Ricky Rickman, Shane Rickman, and Rocky Rickman; his sister Sheila Rickman; his nephew Cameron Deshazier and niece Ashley Deshazier; a special aunt Louise and her daughter Teresa Cupples; a special cousin Peggy Cotner; and a whole host of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Mickie was preceded in death by his parents, Buddy and Helen Rickman.
