Nannie Omega (Massengill) Nixon

Nannie Omega Nixon, age 78, of Adamsville, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025. She was born on July 20, 1947, in Chester County to the late David Massengill and Mary Elizabeth Henderson Massengill.

Nannie dedicated her life to caring for others, serving faithfully as a nurse. Her compassion, gentle spirit, and unwavering love left a lasting mark on all who knew her. She had a deep love for gospel singings, where music and fellowship brought her great joy, and she found her greatest happiness in the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Tommy Nixon; her daughter, Priscilla Corley (Tony); her son, Joe Nixon (Kyle); her grandchildren, Hannah Weeks (Aaron) and Cody James; her step-grandchildren, Bailee Wallace (Brad) and McKena Forsythe (Nate); her great-grandchild, Brooklyn Weeks; and her step-great-grandchild, Charlee Wallace. She also leaves behind her beloved sister, Mary Duke (William), and numerous nieces and nephews whom she held dear.

Nannie was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: Max Massengill, William Massengill, Troy Massengill, John Sidney Massengill, Joseph Massengill, and Paul Ray Massengill; and her sisters: Maerene Barker, Mildred Smith, Naomi Grimes, and Joy Grisham.

Services celebrating Nannie’s life will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Center Hill Holiness Church, located at 175 Stegall Road, Lexington, TN 38351, with Brother Keith Garner officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Morris Chapel Cemetery.
