Phillip Ray Holmes

Phillip Ray Holmes, age 63, passed away on April 29, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital after an extended illness. He was born on March 23, 1962, to William Royce Holmes, Sr. and Jo Marie Keen Holmes.

Originally from the Enville area, Phillip made Jackson, Tennessee his home over the past six years. He had a deep love for family history and spent countless hours researching genealogy and exploring the roots of his family tree. Known for his quick wit and playful nature, Phillip loved to joke, cut up, and bring laughter to those around him. He was also an avid reader who found great joy in a good book and quiet reflection.

Phillip is survived by his brother, Mike Holmes (Kimberly); his nieces, Tabitha Holmes and Jessica Holmes; his nephew, William Holmes; and his uncle, Danny Keen. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, William "Billy" Boyce Holmes, Jr.

A service celebrating Phillip’s life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Associated Family Funeral Home in Adamsville, TN. Friends are invited to visit with the family beginning at 1:00 PM until the time of service.
