Preston Allen Crum, age 23, left this world far too soon on May 28, 2024, in Bellflower, IL, as a result of injuries sustained in a tragic motorcycle accident.
Preston was born on August 23, 2000, in Germantown, TN, to his loving parents Jerry Crum Jr. and Regina Huff. He found fulfillment and purpose in his work as an independent tower climber, dedicating himself to ensuring reliable communication services for several cell phone companies. Beyond his professional endeavors, Preston was a passionate outdoorsman. He found solace and joy in the quiet moments spent fishing, the thrill of the hunt, and the freedom of riding motorcycles.
In addition to his parents, Preston is survived by his Dad’s fiancé, two cherished sons, Bryson and Tyson Crum, who were the lights of his life. He is also survived by his stepmother, Mandy Johns; brothers Kenson Crum and Hunter Johns; sisters Alyssa Crum and Autum Denton; paternal grandfather Jerry Crum Sr.; and maternal grandparents John and Connie Huff. Preston's presence in their lives brought warmth, laughter, and unforgettable memories. He will also be deeply missed by a host of other family members, friends, and colleagues whose lives he touched with his kindness and generosity.
Preston was preceded in death by his grandmother, Patricia Beavers, whose love and guidance he carried with him throughout his life.
A celebration of Preston's life will take place at 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Counce United Pentecostal Church, located at 2125 Hwy. 57, Counce, TN, 38326. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation hours on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, starting at 5 p.m. at the church. Following the services, Preston will be laid to rest at Shiloh Church Cemetery, located on Restricted Confederate Rd., Shiloh, TN.
