Rita Dianne Clark, 73, passed away on November 2, 2024. Born on July 15, 1951, to Norris Cooper Whitehead and Myrtle Helen Whitehead, Rita dedicated her life to her family, her work, and her cherished pastimes.
Rita spent many years working as a skilled office manager, known for her professionalism and dedication. Outside of work, she delighted in reading, crossword puzzles, and enjoying trips to Tunica. Above all, Rita loved spending time with her family, creating lasting memories through her kindness and sense of humor.
She is survived by her children, Ashley Earwood (Steven) of Moscow, TN, and Dennie Wicker (Christy) of Michie, TN; her stepchildren, Lori Brewer (Mike) of Southaven, MS, Christi Holiday (Dude) of Hernando, MS, and Jason Clark (Debbie) of Mount Pleasant, MS; her sister, Carol Rowland of Millington, TN; and her grandchildren, Owen Earwood, Daniel Smith, Melana Fisher McMahan (Clint), Emma Wicker, Taylor Danielson, Cody Lebo, Hunter Clark, and Jacob Clark, as well as five beloved great-grandchildren. The family is also grateful to her special caregiver, Catherine Beene, for her compassionate care.
Rita was preceded in death by her husband Tommy Clark, her parents, Norris Cooper Whitehead and Myrtle Helen Whitehead, and her brothers, Mike Whitehead and Ronnie Whitehead.
A graveside service to honor Rita’s life will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange, Memphis, TN 38134.
Rita’s warmth and joyful spirit will be missed by all who knew her. In her memory, the family invites those who loved her to read a favorite book, enjoy a puzzle, or share time with loved ones, carrying forward the love and joy she brought into the world.
