Roger Dale Scott

Roger Dale Scott, age 59, passed away on April 13, 2026. He was born on February 6, 1967, in Missouri to the late Jesse Scott Jr. and Ruth Ann Melton Scott.

Roger worked for many years as an edger at a sawmill, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. Outside of work, he found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved fishing, collecting dragon figurines, and spending time playing guitar and piano. Roger also enjoyed board games, often sharing laughter and good times with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Sarah Scott and Angel Scott; his brothers, Roy Allen Scott and Jimmy Davis; his sisters, Vickie Scott and Donna Davis; and his cherished grandchildren, Jesse, Wesley, Tyler, and Jason.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Scott Jr. and Ruth Ann Melton Scott, as well as his sister, Zula Scott.

Roger will be remembered for his quiet strength, his love of music and hobbies, and the time he shared with those closest to him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
