Ronald David Duncan Sr.

Ronald David Duncan Sr., age 81, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026. He was born on September 30, 1944, to the late Earnest Shelton Duncan and Louise Hayes.

Ronald proudly served his country as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps, demonstrating dedication, discipline, and honor. Following his military service, he spent many years working at JC Penney, where he was known for his strong work ethic and friendly nature.

A faithful member of Crump First Baptist Church, Ronald found great joy in his faith and church community. He was a talented woodworker who took pride in creating with his hands, and he especially cherished the time he spent with his family, who meant everything to him.

Ronald leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure his memory: his sons, Ronald David Duncan Jr. (Marsha) and Christopher Scott Duncan; his daughters, Michelle Carpenter (Robert), Kaprice Williams, and Kayla McVey; and his beloved grandchildren, Chris Jr., Lucas, Shelby, Sheldon, Amberley, JD, Hazel, and Margo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest Shelton Duncan and Louise Hayes.

Ronald’s legacy of love, strength, and craftsmanship will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 18th at  First Baptist Church of Crump from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. at  First Baptist Church of Crump.
