Sharon Lawson

On January 9, 2024 Sharon Lawson of Savannah, TN was promoted to Heaven after a 5 year battle with Parkinson's Disease. She was on Earth for 75 years. Even though her body completely failed her as a result of the disease, Sharon was not angry and remained gracious and happy throughout her last years as she knew where she was going. And now she is skipping and dancing on the streets of gold and welcomed home by our Heavenly Father. Sharon was a beloved wife and mother. She met and married her husband in 6 weeks. Sharon began to close the marriage deal in two weeks. It took her another month to close the deal that became a 44 year adventure. At the beginning of her marriage to Randy she was a transportation supervisor for a college and then went on to be a full time homemaker. Later in life Sharon served as a Library Commissioner for Germantown, TN during a very difficult transitional time when the Memphis Public Libraries abandoned the Germantown Branch Library. Sharon traveled with her husband and a group of others to Kabul Afghanistan to help teach the emerging new government leadership principles. Sharon was also involved in the closing of an abortion clinic and converting it to the National Memorial to the Unborn.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years Randy Lawson, her son Steven Presnell and Caryn of Texas, her niece and nephew Candy and Mike Newton of South Carolina, her great-nephew Zach Newton, her great-niece Raven Newton both of Florida, her nephew and niece Perry and Keri Lawson and her great-nephews Tyler Lawson, Trevor Lawson, Spencer Lawson and Ryan Lawson of Colorado, and her cousins Dave and Sandy Weeks, Scott Weeks, Jerry and Leeann Dey of Wisconsin.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2024 at 1:00PM at Crump Cemetery 2995 US-64 Crump, Tennessee.
