Stephen Beryl Gray

Stephen Beryl Gray, 62, of Adamsville, TN, passed away on February 4, 2025. He was born on March 12, 1962, in Savannah, TN, to Beryl Gray and Nancy Wharton Gray. Stephen was an avid outdoorsman who had a deep love for deer hunting, dove hunting, and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hosting fish fries, sitting around bonfires with his wife, and taking boat rides. One of his greatest joys was returning to Tennessee, where he felt at home. He was also devoted to his beloved Red Heeler, Dot.

Stephen is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lee Gray, whom he married on March 21, 2011. He leaves behind his children, Aaron Gray (Jennifer) of Kemp, Texas, Mindy Hensley (Jody) of Forney, Texas, and Stephen James Gray (April) of Talladega, Alabama. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Mason Weeks of Enville, TN, Miranda Weeks of Adamsville, TN, and Megan Weeks of Adamsville, TN, as well as his honorary sons, Jasper Weeks of Enville, TN, and Jake Gray of Enville, TN.

He was a proud grandfather to Jayden Gray and Jacey Gray of Kemp, Texas; Haylee Stephens and Austin Hensley of Forney, Texas; and Paitlyn Gray and Zailey Gray of Talladega, Alabama. He is also survived by his mother, Nancy Wharton Gray of Lancaster, Texas; his siblings, Pam Caffey (Ken) of Kaufman, Texas, Renee Gray McCurdy (Darrin) of Corinth, Texas, and Allen Gray of Forney, Texas. He leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who will cherish his memory.
