Steven Wayne Murphy

Steven Wayne Murphy, age 58, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born on August 7, 1965, in Corinth, MS, to the late Robert Murphy and Barbara Taylor Mills  

Steven was a dedicated Diesel Mechanic at Elam Trucking Company, where he applied his skills and passion for working with vehicles. Outside of work, he found joy in fishing, attending car shows, and watching drag races. He was known for his love of family, always striving to provide for them, and for his fondness for his two beloved dogs.

He is survived by his son, Gary Murphy of Adamsville; daughters, Angel Murphy and Hannah Murphy of Selmer; sisters, Kathy George of Corinth, Dawn Wilson of Booneville, and Kelly McEwen of Corinth; grandchildren, Aliiya Murphy and Rayne Murphy.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Adamsville Chapel Of Memories located within Associated Family Funeral Home, 230 N Maple St in Adamsville, following visitation and viewing from 5:00 PM until service time. Steven will be fondly remembered by all who knew him for his hard work, love of family, and his passion for cars and fishing.
