Mr Teddy “Ted” Louis Sibley, age 90 passed away on Tuesday, February, 24, 2026 at Hardin Medical Center from injuries received in an automobile accident. Ted was born in Crump, TN on December 3, 1935 to Clell N. and Doris Strawn Sibley. He was a graduate of Central High School in Savannah and then served in the US Army and was stationed in Alaska when it received statehood as the 49th state of the United States of America. He married Marjorie Ruth Blount on May 23, 1959 who preceded him in death 3 months ago.
He served as building maintenance supervisor of 100 North Main Building for many years. He was later employed by Sibley Services and was equipment maintenance engineer for Southern College of Optometry until his retirement.
He is survived by his daughter Sheri Sibley Archer and her husband David of Crawfordsville, Arkansas 2 Brothers Jack Sibley and his wife Stephanie of Carlsbad, CA and Tom Sibley and wife Marlene of Cupertino, CA and a sister in law Olivia Sibley.
Ted is preceded in death by his wife, parents, sisters, Joann Shelton and Bobbie Tyler also his brothers Wallace and Jerry Sibley. He will be missed by an extended group of family and friends.
Double Memorial services for Ted and Marjorie will be held at a later date at Crump Cemetery under the direction of Associated Family Funeral Home Adamsville.
