Thomas Patrick Herman, 79, of Whiteville, Tennessee, passed away on February 6, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett. He was born on August 2, 1945, to George Michael Herman and Ruth Bernice Campbell Herman.
A hardworking and dedicated man, Thomas spent over 40 years working for Ferguson Farms before retiring. He found joy in driving farm equipment and working with cattle, always embracing the farm life he loved. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, and listening to his favorite gospel group, The Ross Family. A devoted fan of Westerns, he could often be found watching classic cowboy films with his beloved Pekingese, Princess, affectionately known as "Lulu."
Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; his daughters, Birdie Ann Herman and Loretta Herman; and his brother, Jimmy Herman (Cindy). He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Doris Ann Smith, Jody Pannell, Debbie Nelms, George Herman, Mike Herman, and Bill Herman.
A service celebrating Thomas's life will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Harmony Baptist Church, located at 3844 Eurekaton Road, Whiteville, Tennessee. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM at the church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Thomas will be deeply missed, but his legacy of hard work, love for his family, and passion for the simple joys in life will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
