Tina Darlene Burke, 60, of Enville, passed away on October 10, 2025, surrounded by her family who loved her dearly.
Tina was born on March 20, 1965, to Jack and Judy Rogers. She spent much of her working life as a seamstress in garment factories, where she made not only clothes but also lasting friendships.
More than anything, Tina loved her family. Her grandkids were her pride and joy, and she loved every minute she spent with them. She was happiest in the kitchen, cooking big family meals and baking her famous pies no one ever left her house hungry.
She leaves behind her daughter, Jessica Sweat (Shawn); her son, Mitchell McKenzie, and his fiancée, Jessica Carpenter; and her grandchildren, Tyler Sims, Lexie Forsythe, Collyn McKenzie, London Sweat, Charleigh Carpenter, and Hallie Kate Carpenter. She’s also survived by her brother, Michael Leroy Rogers.
Tina was welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Jack and Judy Rogers; her husband, Russell Burke; and her brothers, Steven Rogers and Anthony “Fuzz” Rogers.
A service to celebrate Tina’s life will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the Associated Family Funeral Home in Adamsville. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. and continue until service time. Burial will follow at Milledgeville City Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mitchell McKenzie, Shawn Sweat, Tyler Sims, Blane Browder, Mark (“Yankee”)Brown, and Bobby Pilkinton.
