Wilma Fay Seat, 82, of Savannah, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home on March 10, 2026.
Wilma was born August 9, 1943, to the late Jack Hurley and Florence Russell Hurley. She spent her whole life around Savannah and was known for speaking her mind, keeping everybody in line, and loving her family in her own strong way.
She enjoyed the simple things—getting her rest, bossing folks around a little, and cooking in the kitchen. Her biscuits and tomato gravy were hard to beat, and plenty of folks sat at her table over the years.
She is survived by her daughters, Annette Bearden (Marty) and Sheila Williams; her grandchildren, Melody Rossi of Italy, Ginger Prelle of Florida, Donnie Lynn Cossey of Savannah, and Kelly Jerrolds of Savannah; her great-grandchildren, Asia Prelle, Francesco Prelle, Alessia Rossi, Jaylyn Jerrolds, and Jordyn Jerrolds; special caregivers who became like family, Megann Ritter, Eleanor Jones, Jade Lee, and Gina Morton; and her FaceTime buddy, Blake Ritter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, JW Seat; her son, Bill Seat; her grandson, Christopher Doyle; her great-granddaughter, Gracie Lynn Cossey; her parents, Jack and Florence Hurley; her brothers, JE Hurley, Junior Hurley, Bobby Hurley, Danny Hurley, Eddie Ray Hurley, and JG Hurley; and her sisters, Bertie Wagster, Katherine Jackson, Lillian Evans, and Peggy Hurst.
